I don't know about the torque though. Alot of guys are usin this trans in high hp LSx builds. It does cost a few bills to get it right, but so does a lot of things.I would say safely 550eng hp. I ran my truck on 6psi boost for awhile issue free. If you stroke it I'm going to say 800ish. The block is very strong IMO. Perfect for big boost The 3.2 head drops right on too if you use a BDE 2.8 as your base. In fact I may even do that myself when I finally get round to turboing mine. RPM's is what kills parts not really the HP. In most cases the rods themselves don't fail the bolts do.
